Teddy. He needs- he needs Teddy-]
Teddy?
[It comes out much louder and more urgent than he'd intended, so he swallows hard, attempting to clear his throat. He doesn't want Teddy to worry or get upset. He just- he needs to see him. He needs to know he's okay.]
[action, sept 25th]
Then he hears Billy's voice, raised and alarmed like he'd woken up from a nightmare without Teddy in the room, and he immediately tenses, stops, and puts everything aside.
It's only a few seconds later that he opens the door of his room and steps out into the living room, trying to get a feel for what's happening and why Billy's acting the way he is - did something happen to him? Did someone do something?]

AMNESIA EVENT - ESCAPE FROM THE RECAPTCHA
The Rise of the Bills
[Teddy pauses at that, eyes widening a bit, before he lets a smile slowly spread across his face and brings his hand up to run it through his hair.]
Captain America, huh? I guess I've got the looks for it. [He lets his hand rest on the back of his head before he looks up at the ceiling, nibbling slightly on his lower lip.] What codename would I have, though? I can't be Bucky.

The Rise of the Bills II
[Okay. This is it. Be tactful, Teddy. Don't just blurt it out. Tell him about how the card, that fact, didn't feel right, how Teddy's been spending all that time trying to look at girls and didn't really feel anything, how it was the opposite with guys, especially Billy, and how over this past week he's been slowly gaining more and more feelings for]
I really don't think I'm straight.
[...
Well that was the EXACT OPPOSITE of what he wanted to say.]

The Miacle on That One Luceti Street
[Close your eyes, breathe slowly...
Picture being him instead.
It seems like sound advice, and Teddy does what he's told. He shuts his eyes, lets out a slow breath, then takes another one in, and imagines that boy in the mirror. Blond hair, blue eyes, smiling and -
And then someone else walks into the mirror, grinning over something he said. A boy about his age, black hair, light brown eyes, the most beautiful person he's ever met -
When he opens his eyes, he looks up at Mia with hopeful eyes. Hopeful brown eyes, anyway.]

Crouching Captain, Hidden America
[Something in Teddy's chest just blooms upon hearing that. He has a father, and an uncle. All this time, he wondered what it'd be like to have a dad. Thinking of his mother gave him such a crippling amount of self-doubt; could he really have protected her? Could he do it now? Was his father disappointed? Did he hate him?
But no, here he is, and the card says at least one thing that he knows is true. He'd been so confused about that last fact until now -
So when he looks up from the card again, he gives a wide grin of his own. He has to wonder if it looks the same as his dad's right now.]
Can... Can I see him? I'd really like to.

Hulkling? Like the Hulk?
[Teddy looks down at his hands again. Sure, he could... probably change into the Hulk, but man.]
Ha - Billy and I thought I'd be more like Captain America, actually.
[Unbeknownst to him, his hair starts to take on Steve's shape. Really, it was a weak attempt at a joke, as this whole thing is still far too much for him. But honestly, he'd rather be more Captain America-like thank Hulk-like. He's sure he doesn't get angry enough for the job.]
Saten Rouge
Oh, god, really? That's so awesome! How'd you figure out how to do it?
[Meanwhile, Teddy gives her a once over. His head says "yes, I think she's attractive", as his card says he ought to. But he's just... not feeling it. And he's beginning to suspect why.]

It wasn't easy to work it all out. He had to wait for a time when Teddy was alone in the apartment, break in and sedate the Hulkling before he could be detected, and then transport him all the way over to the Battledome where he could set the odds in his favor. Had he not been Robin, the details might have rendered this plan unaccomplishable.
With the power cap running at full blast, Robin waited in a dimly lit interrogation room designed to look like something out of a 1930s mob flick. Teddy would find himself seated at a dirty card table lit only by a single naked bulb hanging above. Though the cards laying out denoted a game in progress, Teddy would probably find himself unable to play, given that he was securely tied to the chair, arms wrenched behind his back. The dramatic flair was designed to curtail any panic Teddy might have; afterthe incident was Billy, Robin was fairly sure threatening mortal danger just wouldn't work with those two anymore.
For now, he'll just wait for Teddy to regain consciousness, visible only as a pair of eyes in a dark corner.]
no subject
And really, what he sees when he opens his eyes makes him think that he might as well have fallen asleep while reading the comic. Although instead of the riddler, he kind of expects an older Phoenix Wright to sit down and say "Showdown time." or something.
Teddy looks up at the lightbulb, then glances behind him as he experimentally tugs on the rope behind his back. Huh. They aren't breaking so easily, and he does feel a lot weaker. Almost like he did back on the draft.
Well.
Teddy looks around now, and he immediately sees the indication of someone in the corner. Not really knowing who it is, Teddy squints for a moment, then gives a lopsided grin and leans forward in his chair a little.]
So, what are we going to do here? Play poker? That might be a little hard for me to do like this.

[action, december 20th]
And - perhaps the pettiest gripe he's ever made - he knows that he'll be forcibly celibate for the entire holiday thanks to both he and Teddy having those stupid goddamn creepy dolls...
Petty. So very, very petty. The whole room smells like a cinnamon bomb exploded, and he's standing there trying to ignore it while he mashes enough dough for three or four batches of cinnamon rolls that he cannot cook to save his life but has been ordered to bake or else (or else what?), with butter under his nails and so much flour in his hair that it's almost as white as his now-absent brother's (how did it even get there!?), but the doll keeps staring, judging his (lack of) progress...
Stupid. Freaking. Elves.]
[action, december 20th]
He keeps coming up short, is the problem. So he's coming back to bake more cookies, looking none the happier seeing how not only did he come up short, but accidentally dropped a couple plates and ruined them as well. He stops, however, once he get hit with that smell. That very familiar smell.
Instinct tells him to go to the kitchen and poke at his mom about starting the grand baking of the cinnamon rolls without him. Common sense tells him otherwise, and also tells him to find another kitchen to bake in.
Curiosity draws him closer, however, and he ends up hanging out at the doorway for a moment and just watching his boyfriend (because there's still patches of black in his hair, and Tommy left already, lucky bastard) attempt to cook what appears to be a large cinnamon ball. One glance at the elf sitting on the cabinet and staring at Billy gives Teddy all the information he needs, and he lets his lips quirk up in a little smile as he leans against the doorway, ignoring how his own creepy elf just showed up to sit beside Billy's.]
They've got you doing hard labor, too?

[action, february 23rd] might as well make it auto-nsfw now
Team-building with Teddy, something he's very much used to? He's 100% behind that. And as they fly home tonight, he's still feeling the adrenaline rush, even as they touch down through the kitchen window of their floor, and his eyes are drawn to Teddy's form in the air behind him, looking mildly intrigued by a sudden idea. If Teddy isn't too tired out either...
...well, okay, maybe it's not just adrenaline.]
[action, february 23rd] y e a h good plan |D
Once he touches down through the kitchen, he grins and stretches his arms up, already starting to shift back, though he starts with his wings first. Much easier to walk, well... everywhere when he's in his human form. Especially the place he's thinking of going with Billy.]
So. Wanna hit up the shower together?

Thankfully Teddy offers to fly him home, and since teleporting isn't an option, Billy jumps on the idea, since it's much faster than walking. A part of him had just wanted to feel the safety and security of being back in the arms of his boyfriend.
It's much better than the alternative, that's for sure.]
[action, may 21st]
Teddy suspects that there's more to come, too, but he doesn't mind. For one, he's just happy and relieved to have his boyfriend in his arms, warm and safe and here. And he's sure that Billy will need his presence and his support while he tries to work out this issue, as well as what else he went through when he was kidnapped.
And he loves him. How could a bit of weird magic keep him away?
Flying through the air now, Teddy even shifted his clothes properly to "hulk out", for he knows how safe Billy feels while he's like this. And honestly, it doesn't take him long at all to find a straight gliding path, then look down at Billy.]

[action, june 9th]
It reminds him of the old days, the old Teddy, the one he hadn't liked much because of how fake he'd been. And the way he's acting now isn't nearly as bad - he's still very much himself - but the familiarity is eating away at him, only fueling the fans of concern and stress and yes, a bit of guilt. All this time he'd thought it was a side-effect of the possession, or of being drained by Twila (and Billy himself), but as the days passed and the way the sporadic condition only worsened, he couldn't shake the suspicion that something else is going on here.
As he returns to the apartment, he's always decided, his expression both worried and resolute: enough waiting. He's confronting Teddy about this, right now.]
...Teddy? I'm home, are you here?
[...He asks, but he's pretty sure he knows already that the answer is yes.]
[action, june 9th]
Supper is finished, and by the time Billy does come home, Teddy is slowly pacing the kitchen with his arms over his stomach and seeming to murmur to himself, occasionally glancing from side to side.]
He'll be back.
[...]
No, you're right, I shouldn't have let him go alone, but I can't just -
[...]
I know, I know; God, he must be sick of me, I need to try -
[Then he hears Billy's voice, and he immediately seems to light up, the ache in his stomach gone, and he moves to greet him in the living room.]
Billy! [And then a welcoming embrace, he's home and safe, what a relief.] Hey... where else would I be, huh?
[Not like there's much to do on Sundays, or any day, he should cancel everything, devote himself entirely like he should have done.]

[Teddy can see where this is going, yet he doesn't see any drawbacks to it. His brows knit, more in concern than anything, and tilts his head to get a look at that arm.]

And stops, several feet shy of the room that it is now second nature to find. Her target stands in the hallway, well clear of Billy's door.]
You're already here. [A surprise tactic might be best. Mia closes the distance between herself and Teddy, keeping her voice soft.] I'm glad, I was looking for you.
[October 18, Action]
Teddy had been leaning against the wall with his fingers on his temples, eyes shut with a frown on his face. It's hard, trying to be the support that Billy needs - that Billy wants him to be when he's acting the way he is. Sometimes, he's not there. Sometimes, he's there, but in such a way that it's eerie. Sometimes, the real him is there. But it doesn't happen often.
And the whole while, Teddy's thoughts about himself have gotten worse and worse. What can he do? What should he be? What does Billy want? What would he like about Teddy?
When he hears Mia's voice, too lost in his thoughts to bother picking up the footsteps, Teddy jerks out of his thoughts and looks at her - his eyes look green for a second, only to be blue again in the next, almost as if it didn't happen at all.]
Mia? [He smiles, it's as easy as it was two years ago.] What did you need me for?

[action, february 1st]
The fact that they share the birthday as well as the soul-parents gets Billy thinking - about his home life versus Tommy's, about their families and their upbringing. About how Tommy so casually shrugs off the idea of trading the Shepherd name for the Maximoff one, when Billy can't even think about doing such a thing. It speaks volumes about what Tommy's home life must have been like.
It sparks to life an idea in his mind, and the more he thinks about it, the more he likes it. But with how the last couple of birthdays have gone, he knows that he can't just decide on his own. After several days of very seriously mulling over his options, Billy finally goes looking for Teddy at home to talk it over.]
[action, february 1st]
Right now, he's in his own room, trying to write out how he'd like for it to go down. He's already thrown away several drafts, from a location to the speech he'd like to say, and is mulling over what to do next. Setting up the Battledome to go visit a place in New York City? Maybe... but it might make them miss home too much, and the whole thing would be bittersweet rather than happy. That wouldn't work...
Obviously, his mind is pretty far from birthdays when he hears Billy looking for him. He quickly crumples up the current idea and throws it in the trashcan with the others, then turns in his chair to greet him at the door.]
Hey. What's up?

Supplies - we, need some of those right? [ He knows he's going. Tommy doesn't even need to ask, the second Billy was announced to be going they were both poised and ready. Tommy's pure nervous energy, regaining his speed has meant that he hasn't been able to sit still for a second. The speedster manages to zip it all the way up and rakes his hands through his hair, the trembling of them is minute.
This is a war.
He doesn't know what to do about a war. Are these people going to get back up if he blows their heads off? He's not like they are, he's rougher. He knows. They're all soft and innocent in all the ways he isn't, even after everything they've gone through, and he wants them to stay that way.
He grabs a few cookies from the tin and fixes his goggles. ]
action, May 24th
Costume matters aside, Teddy glances at Tommy before he stands, hoisting the pack over his shoulders, careful to avoid his wings. The fact that his face is practically stony probably says something; it's a mask morphed into place, hiding his nerves and worry, words from the patients echoing in his head (it was horrible, I watched him die, there were so many, the ground was red with blood) making him think the worst and know he isn't prepared for it.
But Tommy's here, they're going into war together, and -]

She's heard some things about what went on in the village while she was away. Things that bring her to Teddy's apartment - after checking with him to be sure he's home - with a fragile almost-smile and a soft knock.]
[action, May 29]
He's lying on the couch and staring into space when the knock on the door snaps him out of it. So much, in fact, that he jumps a little. He should've heard the footsteps - God, he must be out of it. And though he'd rather just curl up and sleep rather than talk to people, curiosity wins out, and soon enough, he's opening the door. Once he sees who it is, he opens the door a little wider, and he smiles for her - small but genuine.]
Hey, Mia. Come on in - Billy's sleeping right now, so... [Which is a good thing. Billy hadn't been sleeping well since the draft ended.]
