... Are you certain of that? [Not that she couldn't understand how much it meant to have someone there for support, knowing that that person would stand beside you no matter what. But it didn't do anything to ease the feelings of helplessness. Now wasn't the time to start questioning her ability to do that for him.]

I apologize, I didn't mean it to... I know you'll find a way out of this. [Just as he always had, a number of times before. She just wished it didn't have to occur the way it did.] If you want me to be here, I will be for as long as you need it.
