It takes a tremendous amount of effort, but he finally manages to force himself back, rising to his feet and offering his hand out to Teddy to help him up as well, even if he's strong enough not to need it. He just really likes the idea of walking hand in hand right now, blood be damned. They're happy, so who cares what they look like right now?]
