Like Billy, Teddy/Hulkling is a fanboy. Perhaps not as to the nth degree as Billy, but a huge and knowledged one regardless. He's been shown to know about as much as him, at least, in regards to superheroes of the Marvel universe, such as their archenemies and what issues they appeared in, and other publicized information. He also has access to the Avengers Database, giving him a lot of important information. Additionally, he knows a lot about the geekdom too, though he's more into video games, as he's been shown playing them and being into Pokemon, and manga/anime/comic books/movies than tv shows. I'd say he knows at least the bare minimum of the latter, like what the popular ones are and the plot and the actors and whatnot, as he has a walking encyclopedia as a boyfriend who's likely sat him down to watch shows with him. Also I headcanon that he is a sucker for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Unfortunately, I am not as huge a geek as Teddy is, despite how much I'd like to be. That's where you come in! If you have a character that Teddy might now about, please fill the below form out! He won't go around fourth-walling everyone or telling people when they'll die or whatnot - he's low-key about it, at least more so than Billy. But he'll probably still quietly fanboy them and say things under his breath and just generally be excited to be talking to them or doing things with them.
Chronologically, I'm taking Teddy from 2011, at a slightly further canon point than Billy, so he ought to know anything that happened in most of that year and before it. From the Marvel timeline, I'm taking him from Secret Invasion, so anything before that, like Civil War, will be known to him.

Character Canon: buffy the vampire slayer
How popular is it? fairly? btvs is definitely known and/or cult-adored.
What year is it from? 1997-PRESENT (thanks to the comic books; show ended in 2003)
Anything I should know about the canon/character? Uhm. She's died a lot? She slays vampires? Mystical demon heritage? Played by Sarah Michelle Gellar? Basically anything from the wiki entry is probably fair game.
For both my fellas.
Character Canon: CastleVania. The canon now better known for its androgynous looking males in high heels. :P
How popular is it? Uh... well, it's not hugely popular so much as it is a series that has existed for quite a while. But games still come out for it every year or two.
What year is it from? 2005 - that's the game Isaac's from, at least. Curse of Darkness, for the PS2.
Anything I should know about the canon/character? Konami game; he's voiced by Liam O'Brien. Um, the CastleVania wiki could do. Or you could just ask me should the need arise!
* * *
Character Name: Little Mac
Character Canon: Punch-Out!!
How popular is it? Retrogaming fans would be most familiar with it. For a Nintendo character, Mac is a lesser known 'hero'.
What year is it from? Erm, well the Wii game came out in 2009, but before that was an SNES game and an NES game.
Anything I should know about the canon/character? Mac is a pretty silent protagonist, haha. His trainer, Doc, would always spout crap like, 'join Club Nintendo today!' mid-match and be hilariously unhelpful like that. Mac's like a little Rocky Balboa from the Bronx. Like above, you can just poke me and ask. :3
So Susan Richards, Luke Skywalker, and Sailor Mars walk into a bar...
Character Canon: She's from Marvel 616, from the Civil War storyline. Her teams? The Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and The Lady Liberators. Year? 2011
What kind of information is public knowledge?: Susan is a member of the Fantastic Four. She can turn invisible and generate forcefields. The FF Identities are public, so...most anything is fair game.
What kind of information is known in the superhero community?: Susan is Anti-Registration, has ruptured the shell of a Celestial, and BRIEFLY had an evil identity known as Malice. Also that her children, Valeria and Franklin are among the most powerful mutants on the planet.
What shouldn't be known? Susan switched powers with Johnny for a time, and that she had an odd romantic entanglement with Namor.
Character Name: Rei Hino/Sailor Mars
Character Canon: Sailor Moon (Manga)
How popular is it? Sailor Moon is an iconic Shojo/Shounen manga
What year is it from? 1992 to Present
Anything I should know about the canon/character? It was created by Naoto Takeuchi. Rei is from the anime, but her personality is very different in the manga. She's quiet and reserved and dislikes men in the manga, and is basically the opposite in the anime. Michie Tomizawa is her Voice Actress in the anime.
Character Name: Luke Skywalker
Character Canon: Star Wars
How popular is it? Extremely so? Star Wars....
What year is it from? 1977 to present?
Anything I should know about the canon/character?
Luke is from the end of the novel Darksaber. If you need more details, talk to me? Thats a lot of canon to cover.

Character Canon: Lupin III
How popular is it? CULTURAL ICON FOR 40 YEARS BABY. In Japan. ;)
What year is it from? That's hard...the first anime was made in 1971 and the Red Jacket anime in the later 70s, however there has been recent dubs made by Funimation and annual TV Specials. No, seriously.
Anything I should know about the canon/character? The series is made by Monkey Punch and is a long standing title with the same notoriety in Japan that James Bond or Bugs Bunny as in the United States. I work with his Japanese voice actor, Kanichi Kurita (who, in turn, is mimicking the late Yasuo Yamada to a T), though his dubbed actors have been through many, many iterations over the years. The Funimation Dub used Sonny Strait, (the voice of Krillin in Dragon Ball Z) and the iconic Red Jacket series did air on Adult Swim about 5-7 odd years ago.
I'd be surprised and ashamed if Teddy didn't have at least facial recognition, even though I run a highly Green Jacket and Miyazaki influenced version of the character.
Yes. That Miyazaki. Castle of Cagliostro was Hayao Miyazaki's first film as a director, and he helped produce most of the 1971 series.
Character Name: Viral
Character Canon: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
How popular is it? Not Shonen crazy level of popularity, though it did have a dubbed run on the SyFy channel about 3 years ago from the current date. It is made by Gainax, the same people that made Neon Genesis Evangelion and FLCL, and so it has a very loud fanbase in online circles.
(with lots of yaoi doujins omg~)
What year is it from? 2007-2008 between sub and dub
Anything I should know about the canon/character? Made by Studio Gainax and all of their glory, Viral's Japanese VA is the ever fun Nobuyuki Hiyama (the voice of Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho and even Link in some versions of the Zelda game series), and his dubbed voice is done by Sam Riegal.
if Teddy finished the series....he'd know that the moon does not crush the world. Viral's canonpoint is from when he was in prison, and he sees no hope for the future. Additionally, Teddy would know that Viral goes on to become Gurren's pilot and, in the distant finale, the Captain of the Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren on their diplomatic mission.

Character Canon: Neon Genesis Evangelion
How popular is it? Extremely. Even the most casual anime fans have usually at least heard of it.
What year is it from? 1997 (when the dub was released) - present (manga and "remake" films currently ongoing)
Anything I should know about the canon/character? Studio Gainax's baby, known for how messed up and crazy and just plain weird it is. (The common reaction to Eva is pretty much, "What did I just watch?") Shinji is the whiny protagonist with daddy issues who pilots a giant robot to fight monsters even though he doesn't want to! He is probably the angstiest thing to ever angst, but all the characters are messed up to the point of no return.

Character Name: Canti
Character Canon: FLCL (fooly cooly!)
How popular is it? It's well known as a cracky headtrip by pretty much every anime fan, and most anime lovers watch at least one episode.
What year is it from? 2001
Anything I should know about the canon/character? No VA, because he's silent. He's essentially a 7-foot tall robot who turns red and kicks ass when he eats the protagonist. He also likes porn. And he's a host for an intergalactic thief who is also a bird. The series is weird. Blame Gainax.
In Luceti, he saved Billy's butt during the last draft.
Character Name: Kohaku
Character Canon: Wish
How popular is it? One of the lesser-known works of the famous shojo group CLAMP.
What year is it from? 1996
Anything I should know about the canon/character? She's a super-sweet angel. She's technically genderless, likes men, and turns into a chibi that is a little under a foot tall after dark. She's made cameos in some of Clamp's other works, as well.
Character Name: Prince
Character Canon: 1/2 Prince
How popular is it? Not very. Has a small but devoted following. It's only readable online, as it was never published in English.
What year is it from? 2004-2005 for the originally Chinese, but the translations are being released actively.
Anything I should know about the canon/character? The series is by Yu Wo, and is translated by the Prince Revolution! group and odd squad scanlatons. Prince is an elven warrior and gaming avatar for a 20 year old woman named Feng Lan (in Luceti, this is secret for now).
Anything on the wikis is up for grabs for these three! Or ask me if the need arises.

Character Canon: Tiger & Bunny.
How popular is it? Ridiculously/surprisingly popular. It's a breakout series in a lot of ways, so even if Teddy hasn't watched it, he would have heard about it. It's made by Sunrise, but despite having such a big studio work on the idea, no one believed in it at first, which is why the team had to get IRL sponsor logos featured in the show in exchange for funds from other companies. But by this point the franchise is rolling in the dough, constantly producing new T&B merch (whose pre-orders proceed to sell out very quickly, particularly for figures). Also there are two movies coming out (one being released this fall) along with a PSP game.
What year is it from? The first season (26 episodes) started airing in April 2011 and ended in September 2011.
Anything I should know about the canon/character? The Wikipedia article explains a good chunk of things, but if things come up, you can always poke me about it. :|b Pao-Lin had one spotlight episode early on in the series, but after that she...sort of got sidelined. She at least got a drama CD to narrate, though, with enough LesYay in half an hour to start making up for the constant HoYay between Kotetsu and Barnaby in the main series.

Character Canon: Naruto
How popular is it? "Are we talking Naruto and Final Fantasy here, or Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future fresh from the other side of the world?"
You answered your question for me. Believe it. 8|
Though seriously, it's freaking Naruto. Most popular manga states side, though sob, I hope he never watched the dub. DX
What year is it from? UHH. Like. Late 90's and still ongoing.
Anything I should know about the canon/character? The mangaka is Masashi Kishimoto. The canon is about magic ninjas and stuff! And people generally like the pre-skip stuff better, but even the ones who ditch it tend to check back in from time to time because they like the characters. The dub is famous for making Naruto say BELIEVE IT about 10x more than he ever did in the sub or manga combined.
Speaking of which: going by popularity polls, etc, Shikamaru was something of a dark horse/breakout character both early on and after the timeskip. Not as popular as Sasuke or Naruto (or Gaara), but not far off from them. He can manipulate his own shadow, and is a genius with an IQ over 200. He says "how troublesome" a lot... unless you're watching the dub, in which case he says "what a drag". 8||
Japanese VA is Showtaro Morikubo, English VA is Tom Gibis.

Character Canon: Kingdom Hearts.
How popular is it? It's final fantasy and disney thrown together. The popularity for this game is massive in geek communities.
What year is it from? 2002-present
Anything I should know about the canon/character? Square enix, Tetsuya Nomura is the artist, he's voiced by Haley Joel Osment in the english one.
Canon is about how friendship and love and hearts are strong and are power and how you can get through anything with friends. Also giant keys and stuff.
The only thing I'm asking is not to shatter Sora's hold on reality. As in "You're just a character, you're not real." Stuff that pretty much stuff that says he's not a person. This will earn instant unfriendshipping.
oh whoops i never did this
Character Canon: Tales of Vesperia
How popular is it? While it's fandom isn't as huge as Final Fantasy, it's definitely a known and popular game amongst Tales fans.
What year is it from? 2008.
Anything I should know about the canon/character? Yuri himself has been the "most popular character" in polls for Tales for ... well. Since 2009, really. It's also the only Tales game on the Xbox 360, and as a final note, he is voiced by Troy Baker.
Character Name: Rorona Frixell
Character Canon: Atelier Totori: Adventurer of Arland. Although, she was the title character in the Atelier Rorona game, too.
How popular is it? Atelier games aren't very well known, but they keep getting released in North America, so they have just enough presence to get that much.
What year is it from? 2011, although Atelier Rorona came out in 2010.
Anything I should know about the canon/character? Nippon-Ichi of America published the game, and it's a series that's been long running since 1997 - most of the games in it have been published state-side, too. Her canon itself is more or less about young girls who learn alchemy and go on adventures with their friends to do big things - it's not a series that has a huge epic plot.
... Also, no one knows who actually voices Rorona in the english version. It's a fairly big debate topic for fans of the series.

Character Canon: One Piece
How popular is it? It is one of the Big Three. 'nuff said.
What year is it from? UHHH nineties and still going strong, nearly 700 chapters later
Anything I should know about the canon/character? It's that series about the pirates with the weird and wacky powers gained eating Devil Fruit and who are hunting for One Piece, the mysterious treasure at the end of the Grand Line. Alternatively, that rubber kid who loves meat, adventure, and wants to be Pirate King. OR that series that is so much darker than it first appears, and was nearly completely dismissed for a time by the HORRIBLE 4Kids dub on the early anime in the English fandom. There are still a lot of people who will not give the series a chance because of it.
One Piece runs in Shounen Jump and was created by Eiichiro Oda. It has a huge, huge cast of hundreds of characters, spanning over 700 chapters and a very intricate storyline. By Teddy's canon point, Law is an extremely minor character (only appearing in a max of seven or eight chapters), and hasn't really shown up in the Japanese anime or the official English translations yet at that time. Law doesn't become prominent until 2012. He is however important to the story as he saves the protag's life at the ending of a widely talked arc, and while I don't think Teddy would know too much about him, he might know Law's name, and that he is a pirate captain and a doctor. He might also know Law is one the Eleven Supernovas, a group of particularly powerful rookie pirates feared to become the new superpowers in the pirate world... a group that includes the protag, Luffy, and Zoro a member of Luffy's crew.
However, I'd prefer Teddy not know what Law's Devil Fruit power is, though he can certainly know he has one.
